Dear Family and Friends,
The Christmas tree is {now} standing tall
Can’t guarantee that for very much longer
So we’re writing to you between putting out fires
With our kids it’s the best we can offer!
Every day’s an adventure - courtesy of our boys
They really know how to keep us all hopping
But their kisses and hugs are ample income
For all the messes we have to keep mopping!
Levi’s our little one-man wrecking ball
“TROUBLE” is his middle name
But with cute chubby cheeks and puppy dog eyes,
He knows that he’s got mom and dad tamed.
He’s true to the title of a “babbling” Brooks
His jibber-jabber cannot be ignored
Don’t even think about telling him “No.”
That would truly bring about great discord!
Payton is growing into quite a big boy
He is now completely P-trained!
It worked out as soon as it became his idea
And we bribed him with pennies...no shame!
Payton’s whole life is devoted to friends
He’s got buddies at home, nursery, and school
He’d play all day long and never get bored
Tools, ‘Cars’ and Thomas the Train are too cool!
Brooke stays so busy keeping up with the guys,
The housework comes in far distant last place.
Scrap-booking’s been scrapped and all in exchange,
For a thing that she calls ‘breathing space.’ {Ah!}
It’s filled with some hobbies, and one little job:
Teaching voice when Bart’s home for the day
Primary Chorister is the BEST calling so far
Next year she’ll be in there with Pay (ton)!
Bart deserves kudos for being number one dad!
On the floor he’s found time and again
It may be because he’s so tired from work-
But to the boys: “LET THE WRESTLING BEGIN!”
He fills up his time with the EQ “moving crew”
Lots of phone calls, and visits, and meetings
But he also makes sure he does service at home
Working on the house or doing some weeding!
At this special time, we consider life blessed
With good family and friends far and near
We have health and our faith in our Savior above
May we remember Him all through the year.

What a great letter. You are as talented as your mom and dad. I remember their poem letters as well. I'm glad you guys are doing so well! Have a wonderful holiday! By the way, I was down by your house the other day to buy bread from Jana and your house looks so cute. You guys have done a great job!
